Hi! I would like you to read the 2 posts that I did on the "ASP Performanance Issues" on your ASP Messageboard. I had a problem that MANY others still have and don't have a clue on how to fix it. I've been searching the web for the solution for about 2 months, and I finally found my answer on a newsgroups (Microsoft) through the thousands of messages.
The problem was that Inetserv woud stop responding to ASP requests after a while, but would still answer HTML requests. The CPU would go to 100% utilization and I couldn't stop the Web Service because it would cause an error. So I had to reboot the server every time.
The problem was my Access databases, when there are too many requests it causes that bug. What exactly causes it? I don't know, memory management maybe, I'm not an expert. We installed Microsoft SQL Server and upsized our databases and every thing is all right now, and much faster!
I'm writing you this message because I know that many people out there have the same problem. I saw that question at so many places, but only found the answer at one place. So I think it would be a good idea to talk about it on your web site somewhere, a lot of people would be happy and could keep their job! Hehehe...
