4GuysFromRolla.com : ASP FAQS : Strings

Question:

How do I convert an all uppercase or all lowercase string into mixed case (first letter of each word uppercase, all other letters lower case)?

[Print this FAQ]

Answer: In a previous FAQ we looked at how to convert a string into all uppercase or all lowercase, but how do you convert a string into mixed (or proper) case? Such a case is where the first letter of every word is capitalized and every other letter in the world is in lowercase.

VBScript provides the UCase and LCase functions to convert a string completely into upper or lower case, but, unfortunately, VBScript does not provide a function to convert a string into proper case.

Fortunately, the guys over at ASP101.com have provided a custom function PCase that converts a string into proper case. You can read all about it (and view the source code) at: http://www.asp101.com/samples/pcase.asp.
