Sams Teach Yourself Active Server Pages 3.0 in 21 Days begins Week 1 with an introduction to
server-side scripting and the basic theory behind Active Server Pages programming. The bulk of the first
week is spent discussing the VBScript scripting language, from variables to control structure, to useful
functions, including formatting, math, and string manipulation functions. The week wraps up with a look
at object-based programming and discusses the
Response object in detail.
The second week begins with a look at using Forms to collect user input, and using the

Also discussed in detail are the various ADO objects. The book wraps up with a chapter on ASP application design, highlighting the recommended steps to take when creating a Web application.
